components for candidates accepted onto the air traffic controller training path, and a theoretical component only for candidates accepted onto the FIS course.<\/li><li>The theoretical part provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of aviation: aviation law, air traffic services, meteorology, navigation, aircraft, human factors, equipment and systems, the professional environment and phraseology.<\/li><li>The practical part takes place on radar and tower simulators in a simulated environment; candidates learn and practice basic air traffic control techniques for each service: Tower (TWR), Approach (APP) and Area Control (ACC).<\/li><li>Upon successful completion of the basic training, candidates are assigned to services based on their performance to
